JUST IN: Senators donate 1 month salaries to survivors of Kaduna drone strike

As one of the ways of assuaging the pain of the tragedy, the Nigerian Senate on Sunday announced that it’s 109 members have decided to donate their one month salaries to the people of Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State, following the unfortunate drone strike that killed over 120 villagers and injured 68.

The kind gesture was disclosed by the Senate President, Mr Godswill Akpabio during a condolence visit to Tudun Biri community.

The Senate president, who was represented by the deputy Senate president, Jibrin Barau, said the Senate was worried by the unfortunate incident and that it would work closely with President Bola Tinubu to unmask the actual cause of the incident.

He added that the salaries of the lawmakers amounting N109million will be made available to governor Uba Sani.
