JUST IN: Fulani herdsmen kidnap residents in Gwarinpa—Abuja

Bandits suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have reportedly attacked an estate in Gwarinpa, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and kidnapped a yet-to-be ascertained number of residents.

According to available information, the attack took place in Genuine Estate located near EFAB Queens in Gwarinpa, Abuja.

The attackers, who struck in the early hours of Monday, were armed with various weapons both local and sophisticated including guns, machetes, bows, and arrows.

The attack is coming less that two months after Fulani herdsmen attacked and abducted Tim Elombah, the Editor of News Band, in early hours of April 14, 2022.

The attack took place in Durumi area of the Federal Capital Territory.

According to information provided by his wife, Mrs. Stella Elombah, armed Fulani men struck their house when family members were fast asleep around 02:00 am and broke down the window to gain access into the house.

He was later released to the family after ransom was paid to the Fulani herdsmen.
