JUST IN: Court strikes out charges against 119 hunger protesters
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has struck out charges against 119 protesters involved in the #EndBadGovernance protests.
The charges were thrown out on Tuesday after the defendants were initially arraigned on November 1, on treason felony and plot to incite mutiny.
The presiding judge, justice Obiora Egwuatu struck out the charges following a request from M.D. Abubakar, the counsel representing the Attorney General of the Federation, to take over and discontinue the case.
