For some people whose intents is to destructively criticise a performing politician, they believe that the current lawmaker representing the great people of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo federal constituency at the green chamber is slacking off.
Of course, they are far, so far from the truth! The actual facts remains that Hon. (Amb.) Peter Uzokwe is performing the duties for which he was elected beyond expectations. Come with me. It is pertinent to mention that the many works he has done for dear constituency since assuming duty at the lower arm of the National Assembly is under reported.
And the reason is not far-fetched. Yes, because this most approachable legislator does his good deeds quietly, focusing on making a positive impact rather than seeking praise. He likes his achievements to speak for itself through the mouthpiece of the benefitted constituents. That’s that!
Hence, being his constituent, I went to the Edorji community in Uruagu, Nnewi yesterday to witness the humble man fondly called Dike Udo (which means Warrior of Peace) commission a newly built and well-equipped project.
The venue, St. John Primary School (Edorji Central School), Uruagu, Nnewi, was filled with a good number of guests, including school teachers, pupils, parents & guardians, community leaders, religion leaders, political party faithfuls, etc. This shows, of course, how much the people appreciate the good works which their federal legislator is delivering across the constituency. And make no mistake, Dike Udo Ozubulu is much loved by his dear people!
Hon. Uzokwe was live to officially commission and finally handover a block of well-furnished six classrooms with conveniences and trappings of modern learning. Suffice to state clearly that this is just one of the many projects he has attracted to his constituency of three local government areas. As a matter of fact, the people-oriented legislator is providing developments in the three LGAs he is representing simultaneously!
Speaking at the event, Hon. Uzokwe revealed that he will be conducting a medical outreach in the coming months. This medical outreach, which will hold in selected hospitals across the constituency to cater for such health issues as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal issues, hypertension, diabetes, malaria, eye problems, ear problems, dental problems, fibroid surgeries, etc, promises to be the mother of all medical outreaches ever done in Nigeria! Anticipate it and judge for yourself whether the man representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo federal constituency is slacking off or truly delivering.
