IPOB threatens mayhem if anything bad happens to Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has threatened mayhem ‘should anything bad happen to Nnamdi Kanu’ whilst in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS) in Abuja, adding that Nigeria will never remain the same in the event of such.
IPOB made the remarks in a press release signed by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, on Friday.
The separatist group said its threat was sequel to “the destructive part being towed by the Nigerian Gestapo Secret Police the DSS as it concerns the health of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu”.
Emma Powerful recollected how “Kanu was illegally and criminally kidnapped in Kenya in 2021, extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria and has been kept in solitary confinement in the DSS facility”.
He cited disturbing report from IPOB Legal Team about Kanu’s deteriorating health inside DSS solitary confinement.
He also regretted that the “Nigeria Government, through their lawless DSS have refused Mazi Nnamdi Kanu access to his personal and professional physician for over a year now in contravention to court orders”.
The IPOB scribe warned the Nigerian government and DSS that they are “playing with an active Volcano whose eruption will leave a trail of complete destruction” if Nnamdi Kanu is impacted negatively.
He stated: “Nigeria Government must understand that because IPOB has remained peaceful even in the face of most unbearable provocations in the form of abductions, torture, secret disappearances, extrajudicial murders in addition to the extraordinary rendition of our Great Leader from Kenya to Nigeria since June of last year, 2021.
“The Nigerian government and its agency of torture called the DSS should very well know that the issue of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s health while in their custody is a RED LINE they must not cross.
“This peaceful approach will never remain the same if anything untoward happens to him.

“We are telling you now so that the international community will bear us witness that we warned Nigeria before it and its torture agency the DSS commit an irreparable blunder.”
Powerful stressed that Nnamdi Kanu is worth more than 1 million men and that the group is willing to sacrifice such if anything untoward happen to Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody.
He urged the British Prime Minister & her High Commissioner in Abuja, the United States President and the US Embassy in Abuja, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch organisation, United Nations, African Union, ECOWAS, Israel Prime Minister & Israel Embassy in Abuja, Russia President & Russia Embassy in Abuja, German Chancellor & her Embassy in Abuja to prevail on the Fulani-led Government of Nigeria to “unconditionally release Nnamdi Kanu or be prepared to repeat their genocidal war against Biafrans as it was in 1967-1970”.
He also urged them to compel the government to without delay release Kanu from their custody, adding that he did not commit any crime known under local and international law.
“Nigeria MUST agree on a REFERENDUM date with IPOB for the Biafran people to decide on their fate and future,” he added. Read more.
