United States National Transportation Safety Board has released photos of the fatal helicopter crash that killed Mr Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings last weekend.

The chopper, identified as Eurocopter EC 130, was en route to Las Vegas when the unfortunate crash occurred near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night.

Herbert along with his wife and son, and another close friend, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former group chairman of NGX Group and two other crew members were victims of the crash.

US authorities cited witnesses accounts that the helicopter crashed amid rainy and wintry conditions, which was later supported by NTSB meteorologists.

Reports of downed power lines in the crash area are being investigated.

The images, released after Michael Graham, a board member with the NTSB, said they had visited the site and outlined the activities conducted on the first full day of investigation at the accident site, show NTSB officials observing the wreckage at the site.

Graham stressed the agency’s commitment to a careful examination of the scene, saying the team conducted aerial drone mapping and documented the wreckage.
