US-based cybersecurity firm Recorded Future claimed on Wednesday that hackers linked to China have targeted the Indian power grid for months in apparent recon cyberespionage missions.
The TAG-38 hackers reportedly focused on seven load dispatch centers in northern India, near the Chinese border, which Recorded Future say was intended to gather critical infrastructure details.
The report claims the attacks exploited the compromised internet connections of devices in cameras, and were launched from locations in South Korea and Taiwan.
