Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter S.N. Onnoghen, GCON, has issued a directive to all heads of court to implement a monthly visit by magistrates to police stations and prisons in their jurisdiction to stop the unlawful detention of citizens by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and its agents.
The directive calls for implementation of the relevant provision of the ACJA 2015 by heads of courts.
