IGP orders clampdown on Borno Police attackers

A tragic attack struck the Nganzai Divisional Police Headquarters in Borno State.
On January 9, 2025, at 12:10 a.m., an assault tragically claimed the lives of two officers.
Inspector Bartholomew Kalawa and Corporal Mustapha Huzaifat lost their lives during this heinous attack.
On January 10, 2025, Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi released a statement.
The IGP condemned the attack, vowing that “no cop-killer will go unpunished.”
He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen officers, promising to honor their sacrifices in service.

To ensure swift justice, IGP Egbetokun has directed the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 15, AIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, fdc., to deploy all necessary resources and personnel.
