The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission [ICPC] has arrest and detained Dr. George Davidson, a whistleblower and investigative reporter with Eagle Eye Transparency International after he exposed a mega rich civil servant running down the National Sports Commission (NSC) with her colleagues.

For the records, News Band reported on April 3, 2021, how one Mrs. Regina Dominic (Nkpa Ebiabe), a staff of the National Sports Commission in Abuja, reportedly lives above her income and assets declaration status.

Besides owning a private company while in public service and a lump of large sum reportedly found in her bank account, she also owns buildings and estates in Abuja, as well as fleet of exotic cars and lives in a sprawling estate.

The report also showed that unknown gunmen kidnapped the whistleblower, Dr. George Davidson after he made the expose.

They reportedly stormed his residence in Abuja, beat him to stupor, kidnapped and took him to unknown destination.

The “kidnappers” later turned out to be police officers on the payroll of Regina Dominic!

The whistleblower would later drag the intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the IGP Unit before the Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights Violations by the defunct SARS and other units of the Nigerian police for redress.

The Panel sat on Wednesday, February 17, and heard allegation of abuse of office brought by whistleblower, George Davidson against the IGP Monitoring Unit.

Respondents in the complaint include ACP A.A. Ellenman, SP Onale Silas Egbeh, Inspectors Edison Ehurwun, Madaki Emmanuel Wisdom, Babanana Aliyu, Innocent Ujah, Musa Yohanna (all of IGP-Monitoring Unit) and Monday Opanda IGP-IRT, Ms. Regina Dominic Nkpa Ebiabe and one Patience Yakubu.

Davidson alleged serial unlawful abductions, detentions, torture and falsifications of court documents, particularly, the warrants of detentions.

However, despite all efforts to extricate himself from the clutches of the said Mrs. Dominic, she would later buy over the ICPC and use the anti-corruption agency against him.

Earlier while in detention on October 24, 2020, the Whistleblower had raised alarm that his life was in danger inside ICPC cell.

A source said that the phones or George Davidson were forcefully confiscated from him by the Chief Security Officer, Mr Niemadu Wellington.

The CSO reportedly threatened Davidson that he would die in his cell, based on the instructions he has from the ICPC chairman and the director operations Mr Lawal Akeem.

Our informant in the Special Investigation Team of ICPC told us that the phones of their suspect was taken by the CSO without their consent and that of the Davidson consent.

In the meantime, Davidson was arraigned at the Federal Capital Territory High Court located in Maitama, Abuja, but correspondent left the court when the matter was postponed to 3PM instead of the 9AM earlier scheduled.

It will be left to be seen if the court granted him bail or not.
