Heavily Armed MoPol Storm, Cordon Melaye’s Abuja Residence
Heavily armed mobile police men numbering about 30 have just stormed and cordoned the residence of Senator Dino Melaye in Maitama, Abuja.
This was reported by Senator Melaye himself via his Twitter handle:
Over 30 heavily armed fierce looking mobile police men have just stormed My residence in Maitama, Abuja.

He also wrote that youths arrived his house in throngs tro shows solidarity:

Meanwhile, fellow senators had risen up, during his arrest, and asked the police to released him immediately. One of the was “the common sense Senator”, Ben Murray Bruce who wrote:
I call for the immediate and unconditional release of @dino_melaye. He is one of the few voices left that still speaks truth to power. Nigeria needs men like that and the Dino I know will not be cowed by arrest or persecution.
