An archived report questioning the relationship between the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Guinea President, Alpha Condé, has surfaced with the daunting question: “What kind of relationship do the two men have?”

The content, entitled “Exclusive — Guinea: Nigerian billionaire Bola Ahmed Tinubu charters his personal plane to President Alpha Condé on an official trip to China“, was published by a Guinean Newspaper, Confidential Afrique, in French language, on October 26, 2016.

The report recalled how Tinubu chartered his private plane to President Condé as part of his official visit to China.

It noted that President Alpha Condé had been traveling for several months on board Tinubu’s private plane, “who is in his great care”.

It ended with the questions: “How much do Tinubu’s services cost the Guinean state? What kind of relationship do the two men have?”

The report reads:

“The Guinean head of state, Alpha Condé is the most spoiled of his West African peers. The proof; his official trips abroad are sponsored by the Nigerian billionaire, Tinubu Bola Ahmed, former governor of Lagos and senator.

The latter has taken a liking for several months to put his personal private plane at the disposal of the Sékoutouréya palace which runs on board. At great expense. Exclusive…

Exclusively, Confidential Afrique, in possession of irrefutable information, can reveal that the Nigerian billionaire and political leader, Tinubu Bola Ahmed, chartered his private plane to the Guinean President, Alpha Condé as part of his official visit to China.

The strong man from Conakry is at the head of a large delegation made up of Guinean ministers and business leaders, for a work and friendship mission of a few days in China.

According to our information, President Alpha Condé has been traveling for several months on board this private plane of the Nigerian businessman who is in his great care.

The Guinean state still does not have its presidential plane as in Mali, Niger, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal where this need has been resolved through the purchase of aircraft intended for the official trips of the head of state abroad and for humanitarian purposes.

It will be remembered that the financial transactions surrounding the purchase arrangements for devices had raised a big controversy in some of these West African countries.

The head of state, Alpha Condé, as soon as he came to power, rented planes via leasing companies directly managed by his son Mohamed Condé Alias Condé junior. Now the cards have changed hands.

It is the Nigerian billionaire, Tinubu Bola Ahmed, very close to President Buhari who sponsors him with large sums to ensure official trips to the Sékoutouréya palace. How much do Tinubu’s services cost the Guinean state? What kind of relationship do the two men have?”

The report, meanwhile, fanned the recent controversy surrounding Tinubu’s Guinea citizenship.

It could be recalled that a passport, showing Tinubu as a citizen of Guinea above, has been trending on the internet, stirring fresh controversy about the real identity of the Nigeria’s president-elect.

News reported that an alleged international passport of Tinubu purportedly issued by the Guinea government, has gone viral on Twitter.

The pictures of Tinubu Guinea Conakry passport were shared on Twitter, on Saturday night, April 15, 2023, by the Nigerian fiery investigative journalist, David Hundeyin.
