Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege

Ahead of the governorship election slated for 18 March, Senator Dino Melaye, the spokespersons for Atiku, Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, has urged voters in Delta State not to vote for a mace thief.

The Kogi born politician was making reference to the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Delta State, Ovie Omo-Agege who is known for snatching legislative mace during a face-off at the national assembly in 2019.

Melaye also called Omo-Agege, a Deputy Senate President, ‘nepotism pro max’.

The former lawmaker accused Omo-Agege of cornering all the allocated federal projects to his home town, Orogun.

He wrote, “Don’t vote a mace thief.”
