Two Igbo groups, Igbo Peoples Congress and Igbo Aborigines have warned the Nigeria Security agents to stop harassing or detaining pro-Biafra activists or charging them for belonging to Biafra groups, as belonging to Biafra is not a crime anywhere in the world.

According to the group, it is now the habit of Nigerian security agents often led by Hausa -Fulani officers to harass pro Biafran Igbo youths and accusing them of belonging to Biafra as if that is a crime, Pastor Okey Colbert and Chidi Obisike , the spokesmen of the groups protested,.

They accused President Muhammadu Buhari of turning the Nigerian security agencies to Hausa-Fulani appendages and warned of the direful consequences of doing so.

The protest is coming on the heels of the recent arrest of some pro-Biafran activists who went to bury one of their members killed at Umuahia during the Operation Crocodile Smile saga last year.

The groups warned these security agents to go after the dreaded killer Fulani herdsmen and leave pro-Biafra activist alone.

They further said that these useless security agents have not deemed it fit to apprehend and disarm the killer Fulani herdsmen and are only eager to molest innocent and unarmed pro Biafran activist.

“This must stop or Nigeria will soon sink,” they warned.

The groups also asked the National Assembly to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari immediately for the illegal release of one billion dollars for the fight against Boko Haram which they also prodded and supported in the past.

“They cannot use the money from the Niger Delta to fight a war and insecurity most of them the North also caused.

“Besides, ninety percent of the money will end up in private pockets of APC politicians and military officers,” they lamented.

“Half of that huge sum will solve the infrastructural and unemployment problems in Nigeria,” they noted.
