Group conducts scholarship exam for Anambra undergraduates

A philantropist-backed Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam Initiative for Education (JAMIE) has organized her 2022/23 education year scholarship examination for undergraduate students in Anambra state.

No fewer than one hundred and twenty students (120)drawn from Senior Secondary schools across Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State participated in the examination held at the Abbott Girls Secondary School, Ihiala.

The Coordinator and Chief Examiner, Rev Fr. Simon Egwu in his prayers ahead the exercise encouraged the students to be diligent in their pursuit of academic excellence.

The benefactor of JAMIE, Barr Akachukwu Maduakolam in his brief remark called on the students to always take their studies serious as it is the only guarantee for a successful life, especially in today’s world.

Barr Maduakolam, a candidate for the Ihiala Federal Constituency in the coming 2023 general election urged the students to make use of JAMIE channel in any area of their academic persuit they may find difficult.

He said, “We would have progressed beyond quiz, essay and JAMB standard test, the vision of JAMIE is to expose Ihiala students to international standard and honest exams, we must embrace technovation.

“Unfortunately, the security situation in Ihiala did not allow us to prepare for it this year.” The United Kingdom trained lawyer noted.

He promised to offer technical support in terms of teaching aids and or teachers needed to help them through.

Maduakolam pointed out that he did not invite people especially his supporters to attend the event because, he noted that it was only the participating students that were invited for fear that publicity may lead to security breach.

JAMIE has been in existence since 2018, empowering Ihiala students.
