Gov. Fayemi’s Aide Disrupts Students’ Union Election in Ekiti, Slaps Students leader

Barrister Olalekan Soyombo, Senior Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Students Matters, Governnor Kayode Fayemi has been reportedly caused violence at the election of the Federation of Ekiti State Student Union (FESSU).

It was learnt that Soyombo publicly  kicking away electoral materials while students scampered for safety as he also slapped one of the students’ leaders.

When contacted, Soyombo said he was provoked.

He said the students did not follow the agreed process for the election.

According to him, some machineries were invited to the election to work in support of a candidate against government’s wish.
