The Labour Party (LP) candidate for the forthcoming Anambra State House of Assembly election, Barr. Sir Izuchukwu Unegbu has vowed to bring peace and good governance to the doorstep of Nnewi North Constituency if and when elected as he speeds up his race for the election.
Barr. Unegbu made the declaration during a telephone interview with News Band on Friday.
Speaking during the interview, Unegbu noted that the primary function of State House of Assembly is lawmaking for peace and good governance of the state.
He, therefore, stressed that it takes an experienced and accomplished lawyer like himself, whose profession has prepared for this task to step in for quality representation.
Unegbu, who recently received the Certificate of Return from Labour Party National Chairman and Labour Party National Organizing Secretary, said that he is poised to deliver on his mandate.
Unegbu was recently seen milling with the Labour Party leadership, including the National Organizing Secretary, Mr Clement Ojukwu, popular Nollywood actor-turned lawyer, Barr Kenneth Okonkwo, and the party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Gregory Obi, during a recently held two-day Labour Party Leadership Retreat in Abuja.
