In a remarkable display of community service and healthcare investment, the former Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, today joined other dignitaries alongside the Bishop of Nsukka, Rt. Rev. (Prof). Godfrey Onah, to commission the ultramodern Dialysis Center christened Nwamaka Aroh Renal Centre at the Bishop Shanahan Specialist Hospital in Nsukka.
The state-of-the-art facility was donated to the Diocese by the Nwamaka Aroh Foundation, chaired by former Commissioner in Enugu State, Chief Chidi Aroh, in honour of the memory of their Late Mother, Late Lolo Philomena Nwamaka Aroh. The event was marked by a grand celebration, with a pontifical high Mass presided over by two Bishops and attended by over two hundred priests at the Cathedral.
Ugwuanyi’s graceful presence was felt throughout the occasion, from the Mass to the reception marking the grand opening of the Renal Centre. The former Governor’s participation underscored his commitment to promoting accessible healthcare and improving the well-being of the people of Enugu State.
