The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has announced a N1 million bounty for information that will lead to the arrest of Magnus Okpalannadi, 62, who is accused of defiling his three-year-old daughter.

In a statement signed by the spokesperson of the ministry, Grace Njoku, it was revealed that Okpalannadi, a resident of Onitsha, Anambra State, allegedly sexually molested his young daughter.

Upon discovery, he eloped before he could be taken into custody.

Mrs Kennedy-Ohanenye stressed that the administration of President Bola Tinubu has zero tolerance for child abuse and molestation.

She vowed that the government would ensure the immediate prosecution of the suspect to deter others from committing similar crimes.

“The Tinubu-led administration is committed to creating a safe environment for all citizens,” she stated, reiterating the government’s dedication to protecting the rights and dignity of every Nigerian child, woman, and vulnerable individual.

However, the announcement underscores the government’s resolve to tackle child abuse and uphold the safety and dignity of its citizens.
