Elton John reveals he’s now blind following severe infection
Legendary musician, Elton John has made a heartbreaking disclosure about his health, announcing that he has lost his sight due to a severe infection.
At Sunday night’s charity gala premiere of his production “The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical,” the 77-year-old revealed that he’s lost his eyesight after developing an infection.
While addressing the audience, Sir Elton said, “As some of you may know, I have had issues and now I have lost my sight”, he said.
“I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight. So it’s hard for me to see it. But I love to hear it and boy it sounded good tonight,” he added
Sir Elton credited his husband, David Furnish, for his unwavering support during the challenging period.
“To my husband, who’s been my rock, because I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews… but I love to hear them,” he remarked.
