Some group of Hausa youths are currently attacking motorists at Lugbe and Airport road in Abuja, the federal capital territory of Nigeria.

This is coming after the closure of Dei Dei market by the FCT minister, Malam Bello following the crisis that erupted between Okada riders and traders yesterday which led to the death of four civilians.

Though, the minister while announcing the indefinite closure of the market in a statement said, the crisis that happened yesterday has no religion or ethnicity colouration.

According to the minister, some bad elements took advantage of the crisis to foment trouble.

Meanwhile, in a viral video obtained by Newsband, some group of Hausa youths were seen attacking motorists with dangerous weapons. The attack however caused pandemonium, forcing motorists and pedestrians to scamper for safety.

At the time of filing this report, dozens of shops and cars worth billions of naira were destroyed at Dei Dei market during the chaos.

A source who spoke with Newsband under the condition of anonymity said, the attack was carried out by Hausa youths in the area.
