Dangote Donates N200m To Support Fight Against Coronavirus

Following the outbreak of coronavirus, Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has released the sum of 200 million naira to support federal government’s effort in fighting the deadly virus.

The federal government acknowledged receipt of the donation in a brief statement issued on one of its media outlets on Thursday.

Alhaji Dangote, it could be recalled, released  one billion naira for training and paid 160 medical staff, built an emergency clinic in Yaba and bought 12 units of thermal cameras during the Ebola outbreak.

With Dangote’s support, that of the federal and state government of Lagos, Ebola was quickly eliminated from Nigeria.

Presently, there is only one confirmed case of coronavirus in Nigeria and according to sources from the Ministry of Health, the victim is in stable condition.
