He delivered these remarks during the inaugural 2025 Corps Marshal’s parade at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja on Monday, February 3, 2025.

While assessing the Corps’ activities in 2024, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed acknowledged the Management staff, Commanding Officers, Heads of Unit, and all personnel.
His recognition of their contributions underscores the importance of teamwork in achieving organizational goals.
He praised their immense sacrifices, innovative initiatives, and dedication that led to last year’s accomplishments, especially during the end-of-year special patrol.

“Your resilience and determination allowed us to tackle traffic management challenges,” he stated appreciatively.
This commitment created safer roadways for all travelers during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, showcasing the effectiveness of their hard work.
The Corps Marshal also expressed condolences to the families of deceased staff members who lost their lives while serving.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of their souls.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of prioritizing health through regular fitness routines and hospital check-ups, urging personnel to avoid major health issues.
Regarding increased productivity, the Corps Marshal urged staff to continue striving for higher performance standards achieved last year.
He assured that staff demonstrating excellence in their roles would receive appropriate rewards.
Conversely, he stated that those found to be unproductive or lazy would face consequences.
“It is essential to respond promptly to instructions, excel in work, and avoid any actions that could tarnish the Corps’ reputation,” he advised emphatically.
In anticipation of the FRSC’s 37th anniversary on February 18, the Corps Marshal congratulated staff for steadfastly upholding the Corps’ founding values.
Despite challenges, he noted that the organization has remained focused on its commitment to serving humanity.
He pledged to uphold the values of service delivery during his leadership, encouraging all personnel to contribute actively.

Regarding staff welfare, the Corps Marshal reported ongoing improvements in the FRSC Staff Cooperative Scheme and the FRSC Housing Cooperative.
These initiatives focus on effectively meeting staff needs and enhancing overall job satisfaction within the organization.
He announced plans to collaborate with reputable housing developers to provide affordable housing options for staff.
Additionally, he confirmed that efforts are underway for the FRSC to establish its own Healthcare Management Organization (HMO).
This initiative will enable the Corps to offer qualitative healthcare services to staff and their families, enhancing overall health.
Regarding technological advancements, the Corps Marshal highlighted the importance of downloading the FRSC Mobile app launched last year.
This resource will enhance understanding of the Corps’ traffic management progress and provide staff with public education information.
During the discussion on promotion exercises, the Corps Marshal announced that this year’s promotions will soon begin.
The process will start with filling the vacant Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) positions, ensuring efficient leadership within the organization.
