The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned that it is yet to decide on zoning contrary to insinuations in the public domain.

In a statement issued by the Anambra APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Okelo Madukaife, the party said:

“It has become necessary to inform the esteemed membership of our dynamic chapter and anyone else directly or remotely connected with the issues of congresses that Anambra State Chapter has not decided its zoning formula for 2021 deferred congresses.

“The chapter has over the years established a zoning/basketing machinery under its inspirational leadership with Senator Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige as arrowhead.

“This approach has before now forestalled any cracks and kept the chapter stable.

“Hence, in due course a zoning formula duly established to guide 2021 shall be released, when it is proposed, scrutinized and approved.

“Anyone, whosoever purporting to convey in any form or format or transmitting to anybody or authority outside the chapter any contraption presumed to be a zoning formula now, before now or anytime before these decisions are reached represents himself or herself only and not the chapter.

“Party members at chapter and national level should carefully note this disclaimer as Anambra State Chapter may no longer tolerate any games being played with the destiny of the chapter this year.

“We look forward to a firm schedule for the conduct of deferred congresses in Anambra State Chapter of our great party.”
