The National Rescue Congress (NRC) proudly announces the upcoming conference, “Mandela’s Legacy: A Catalyst for Inspiring National Rebirth,” aimed at harnessing the enduring legacy of Dr. Nelson Mandela as a beacon of hope and direction.
As we commemorate the 10th remembrance anniversary of this global icon, we invite Nigerians to partake in this transformative event.
The Nelson Mandela 10th Memorial Conference and Lecture is set to be a defining moment for Nigeria’s future. We aim to inspire Nigerian youth to embody Mandela’s virtues of resilience, selflessness, and relentless pursuit of justice.
This conference is a call for a national renaissance, echoing the courage and vision of African leaders who have shaped our continent’s destiny.
This conference seeks to ignite a spirit of selfless service and democratic commitment, particularly among Nigerian youth, drawing lessons from Mandela’s life and the struggles of other African revolutionaries.

Venue: Labour House, Plot 820/821 NTA Link Road, Central Business District, Abuja, Nigeria.

1. Solemnly commemorate the 10th anniversary of Dr. Nelson Mandela’s passing.
2. Inspire a spirit of service, martyrdom, and commitment to nonviolent resistance in Nigerian youth.
3. Foster a movement for national rejuvenation, diminishing apathy towards national issues.
4. Celebrate and draw inspiration from the lives and struggles of African revolutionaries.
5. Ignite a sense of duty in Nigerian youth spurred by Mandela’s exemplary life.
The event will feature guest speakers, keynote speaker, and others. Some invited speakers include Mr. Thami Mseleku, South African Ambassador to Nigeria, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Senator Dr. Datti Baba Ahmed, Hon Justice James Ogebe, Sampson Otodo, Senator Shehu Sani, Prof Pat Utomi, Prof Chidi Odinkalu, Dele Farotimi, and many others.
Other invited Special Guests of Honour include His Excellency Alhaji Abubabarkar and His Excellency Peter Obi, along with reputable ambassadorial dignitaries from both Western and African countries in Nigeria.
