COALITION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS OF NIGERIA TO ORGANISE ONE DAY OF TRIBUTE TO ALL FALLEN NIGERIAN CIVIL RIGHT ACTIVISTS , VICTIMS OF EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLINGS AND TRUE MATYRS OF DEMOCRACY.
The Umbrella body of all Civil Society Organisations in Nigeria, the COALITION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS OF NIGERIA , COSCON will organise a Day of Tribute for all fallen Nigerian Civil Right Activists, victims of Extra-judicial killings, and True Matyrs of Democracy in Nigeria. The event will hold in Abuja at a date to be announced soon.
Among those that would be honoured include Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Comrade Chima Ubani, Bamidele Aturu, Emeka Ezeze, Bagulda Kaltho, Beko Rasome Kuti, M K.O.. Abiola, Chidi Nwosu, Kudirat Abiola, Alfred REwane, Uche Ogbonnaya, Suliat Adedeji, Sunday Ugwu, Chief Aminosori Dikibo,and several other Nigerians tha paid the supreme sacrifice for the survival of democracy in Nigeria.
The President of the groups , Chuks Ibegbu and the Secretary General Aminu Muhammed noted that the event will witness speeches, solidarity suogs, film shows , lectures and other side attractions.
The participats will included CSOs, NGOs, FBOs, Acedemics, Civil servants, students , youths and women organisations , envoys and government offiicials.
