We the members of Orba Concerned Citizens, — a dispassionate Group of patriotic Orba indigenes who seek social justice, and integral welfare of Orba Community having seen the babel of rumours and falsehood being set sail by enemies of our homeland within, do hereby make the following statements and give the following advisory:
In the words of the popular American author, clinical social worker, and a relationship coach, Leslie Vernick “Evil people want to look good to others. They also want to appear good in their own eyes, so the pangs of shame and self-reproach do not penetrate their hearts.”
Her submission is true of a group of occultist and murderers who have vowed to stop Elders Council of Orba communities (Oha Orba) in combatting crimes, cult related and ritual killings in Orba — a peaceful town and economic nerve center of Enugu North Senatorial District in Enugu State.
The group approached the Sahara Reporters to deceive the general public and lied against the supreme traditional and cultural body in Orba (Oha Orba) who made their stand clear on the approach and measures to stop killings and other social vices in their communities.
It is on record that some people in this group seeking to forestall the efforts of Oha Orba the elders traditional council are those who are being fingered as sponsors and killers of people in Orba using cult groups to achieve their selfish and evil goals.
Late HRH Igwe John Nwangwu the traditional ruler of Orba Autonomous community which comprises. Okpu Orba, Amalla Orba, Ama Orba and Ohebe Orba was murdered in a cold blood and a member of Orba friends Link Chief Okenwa was fingered as being responsible for sponsoring the gruesome murder of the traditional ruler.
Some Lagos and Abuja based members of the group sponsors and usually host this dangerous cult killers in their houses each time they visit home. They use some of them as their errand boys as they use them for odd jobs, some boys who works with them usually brandish guns in the public to intimidate villagers.
Two members of this group Chief Mba and Agbo up till date are facing deep social stigma for their accomplices to crimes and cannot associate freely with the people of Orba Udulekenyi.
We the Orba Concerned citizens condemned totally the threat by this group sponsoring cult related killings in our communities as they have been threatening to deal with the elders council — Nd’Oha Orba if they should go ahead to stop their boys and their evil plans to continue killing people in Orba communities.
Cultism, ritual killings, murder both cultic, ocultic and diabolical as well as injustice is highly condemned.
We have it in good authority that they have clandestinely contributed large sums of money to fight and stop all genuine crusades against their crimes and killings in our communities.
They have raised nauseating media propaganda against our homeland, and have been making frantic efforts to mislead the general public by disguising under “Friends Group” in Orba to circulate articles of fake report to deceive the unsuspecting public.
They feed their evil plans by sailing one-sided story aimed at discouraging our wise elders from sanitizing our land.
It is high time all hands be on deck to eradicate this ugly menace in our society. They should allow the Elders Council carry on with their crusade in stopping future killings in Orba communities by engaging the various security agencies in Nigeria to come up with good security approach to curb this ugly menace ravaging our communities. We owe posterity the duty of using every possible genuine means such as organized religious groups to intervene and assist the security agencies to succeed in combatting this crimes in Orba.
