An ordained priest, identified as Father Edwin Gathang’I has quited celibacy to settle down with a woman in Kenya.

The man of God tied the knot with his lover at a lovely wedding ceremony over the weekend, shocking residents of Ikinu, Githunguri, and Kiambu County of the country.

Father Gathang’i walked down the aisle with Margaret Wanjira Githui at Michael’s Pot Gardens, Kenya.

The Roman Catholic priests are known for celibacy.

While speaking over his decision to get married, he said, “I want to thank my lovely wife for accepting to be used by God in this. We want to show the world that it is possible for somebody to serve God and still have a family.”

He announced that after serving for many years, he felt the need to start a family.
