The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure has been arrested by the police.
Abure was taken into custody on Wednesday, in Benin City, the Edo State capital, on allegations of attempted murder amongst other alleged infractions.
His arrest NewsBand reliably gathered followed a petition by the Labour Party Youth Leader, Comrade Eragbe Anselm Aphimia.
