The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has opposed the establishment of state police.
According to the police chief, Nigeria was not ripe for such.
While speaking at a one day dialogue on state policing, Egbetokun said the establishment of state police will aggravate ethnic tension, which will lead to divided loyalty in the states.
