Twenty four members of Kano State House of Assembly who were against the incumbent speaker Yusif Abdullahi Fagge have removed all the principal officers of the house with the exception of the majority leader Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa with immediate effect.
The spokesperson of the members Kabiru ALHASSAN Rurum stated this while addressing journalists outside the premises of the house.
The lawmakers who were denied access to the Assembly by security operatives said the law of the house allowed twenty seven members out of forty to conduct the process of impeachment, saying soon four additional members will join their camp.
Alhassan Rurum noted that the Chief Whip Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari has been replaced by Abdullahi Yaryasa, and Alhaji Butu Butu the Deputy Majority Leader has been replaced by Labaran Ayuba Durum.
He explained that as soon as the twenty seven needed number of members was completed they would commence the impeachment process.
