BREAKING: Gunmen kill two brothers in Anambra

Two brothers identified as Nnajifor and Godwin Modobi from Umuhu Ukpor in Anambra State, have been shot dead by ragtag gunmen terrorising the South-east region.

According to sources who spoke with NewsBand, the rampaging crimnals went to the home of the brothers around 2am this morning and shot Nnajifor to death before whisking his brother Godwin away to an unknown destination.

According to the family, while they were waiting for a call for negotiation, the wife of Godwin Modobi who was taken away by the gunmen, said she later saw the lifeless body of her husband on social media.

Although, NewsBand cannot independently verify the reason for the killing of the two brothers.

Meanwhile, attacks by armed men suspected to be members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra have increased in the South-East in recent times. The attacks often target security agencies and government facilities.

This latest attack is coming after gunmen stormed a military checkpoint in Agulu, Anaocha LGA of Anambra state on Saturday and opened fire on soldiers, killing one in the process.
