BREAKING: Explosion rocks APC secretariat in Rivers
An explosion has rocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.
This is coming hours before the much heated local government elections in the State.
The explosion, suspected to have been caused by dynamites, seriously damaged the main gate, security house, and parts of an adjoining building at the APC office.
In a video sighted by Newsband Newspaper captured the aftermath of the unfortunate attack, with debris littered across the area.
Meanwhile, Chief Tony Okocha, a factional chairman of the APC loyal to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, pointed accusing fingers at supporters of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the attack.
In a message sent to newsmen, Okocha alleged that “pro-Fubara civilian soldiers” were behind the explosion and an attempt to set the building on fire, which was quickly extinguished by security operatives at the facility.
