Chief Ernest Shonekan is dead, aged 85.
Chief Shonekan, it was gathered, died at Evercare hospital in Lekki, Lagos State.
He was the head of interim national government that succeeded the General Ibrahim Babangida’s junta between August 26 and November 17, 1993.
He was later ousted in a coup by late General Sani Abacha.
