Deputy Inspector-General of Police heading the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Joseph Egbunike has slumped and died.
DIG Egbunike is also the officer investigating criminal allegations against the suspended former head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP Abba Kyari.
Reports say that he slumped in his office in Abuja late Tuesday.
