BREAKING: Bandits invade Kaduna Airport, ground flight, kill NAMA agent

Hundreds of heavily armed bandits have invaded the Kaduna International Airport, on Saturday, overrunning the runway and preventing a Lagos-bound AZMAN aircraft from taking off.

The invaders, who struck at about 12:30 pm and numbered over 200, reportedly shot dead a security agent with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

The attack forced the authorities to temporarily shut down the Airport, while the military battled the gunmen according to reports.

A source at the Airport told newsmen that the bandits had vowed to keep the airport shut.
