Mr Agboola Ajayi, a former deputy governor of Ondo state, has won the Peoples Democratic Party primary in the State.
With the latest political development, Agboola will now slug it out with Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the incumbent governor and also the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the off cycle election slated for November.
He polled 264 votes at the party primary to emerge winner, while his closet rival, a former member of the House of Representatives, Kolade Akinjo, got 157 votes.
