BREAKING: 4 commissioners resign from Fubara’s cabinet
The political crisis in Rivers State appears to be taking a disturbing dimension as four commissioners in the State have so far, resigned from their positions.
The latest development is coming after the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor and the Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke, resigned earlier today.
The Commissioner for Works, a strong loyalist of the minister of federal capital territory, Dr George-Kelly Alabo, and his counterpart in the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs Inime Chinwenwo-Aguma are the latest among those who resigned in the last 24 hours.
The letter of resignation from Alabo was dated 14 December and addressed to governor Siminalayi Fubara through the Secretary to the State Government.
According to Alabo, his resignation is based on his conscience, personal philosophy and professional ethics, adding that the decision was taken after deep introspection.
“My decision to resign is anchored on my conscience, personal philosophy, and professional ethics. This decision was taken after deep introspection”.
