A railway station in Kramatorsk, eastern Ukraine, has been hit by a missile killing at least 30 people, with Ukrainian President Zelensky claiming it was a Tochka U rocket launched by “Russian monsters”.
His own officials say it was a Russian Iskander missile, however. Ukrainian state railway operator added that over 100 were injured, while a message “for the children” is seen written on an apparent fragment of the missile itself.
Russia’s MoD insists it was Ukrainian forces that fired it, and that Kiev’s claims are a “provocation and absolutely don’t correspond to reality”, pointing to a similar attack launched in Donetsk in March that killed 17.
