The aircraft manufacturer is ditching VSMPO-Avisma as a supplier of titanium due to Russia’s special operation in Ukraine.
Avisma in a statement said it “regrets” the suspension of contracts but was “prepared for this outcome” amid growing sanctions against Russian companies.
Boeing said despite ditching Avisma production will not be affected as it is sourcing titanium from other locales around the world.
