In a statement he transmitted to NewsBand, Paul called on state actors and Nigerians to rise up now and fight this evil to a standstill.

He also described the ragtag gunmen behind the crimes in the South-east region and their sponsors as barbarians and murderers.

Paul said, “The incessant brutal killings by gunmen in the Southeast and other parts of the country is unacceptable and cannot be allowed to prevail.

“State actors and Nigerians must rise up to forestall such inhumanity to humanity.

“These deadly non- state actors and their organised sponsors are barbarians and murderers.

Activist Paul further urged state governors to take action against the killings in the region by setting up community policing in all towns and villages.

“Therefore, State governors should sincerely take action against the unwarranted killings by urgently institutionalising community policing in all towns and villages to ensure safety and speedy arrest of the real perpetrators.

“However, the gruesome killing and beheading of the two army officers (couple) amongst others in Imo State is evil, unacceptable and highly condemnable.

“My heart bled while watching the viral but evil video-clip of the barbaric act.”
