Terrorists on Thursday raided LEA Primary School in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State and kidnapped scores of pupils.

At the time of filing this report, the number of pupils abducted could not be ascertained but locals said they were over 100.

The school head teacher and some other officials are said to be among the victims.

The incident reportedly occured at 8:20am immediately after the assembly.

The junior and secondary school relocated to the school building inside the Kuriga town a few years ago due to insecurity concerns, abandoning their former school building located outside the town.

A resident of the community, Shitu who confirmed the incident according to Dailytrust, said most of the pupils ran out of their classes when they sighted the criminal elements on the school premises.

Another resident identified as Mr Lawal said that the abducted victims were marched into the forest.

Meanwhile, Kaduna State police command is yet to issue a statement in respect to the unfortunate incident.
