Dear Chinedu,

FRAUDULENT INSERTION OF MY PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE E-POSTER OF SIR VICTOR UMEH AS SUPPORTER

On March 17, 2016, in the afternoon hours, I was shocked to find my photographs (immediate past facebook profile picture) displayed in a poster of Sir Victor Umeh, your candidate for the deferred Anambra Central Senatorial Election.

This insertion was posted by one Charles Ifeanyi Obi.

I need to admit that I have never met Mr. Obi in person, but I have had facebook chats with him in the aftermath of his adding me to a facebook group –ANAMBRA ARISE – without my consent, before contacting me through facebook inbox for my telephone number, for listing in a WhatsApp Group with the same name.

My enquiries show that he is your assistant in the office of the Anambra State Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), from where he doubles as the media co-coordinator of Sir Victor Umeh Campaign Organisation. Kindly correct any wrong details.

While, I do not have anything personal against Sir Umeh, he is contesting an election in which my party and I have interest in not just contesting, but in winning. Hence, we remain opponents.

Therefore it smacks of miserable desperation and oozes the smell of putrid-compost politics that someone could take the name of your party this low in the name of campaign.

I would like to assume that even while you are on facebook, you are yet to see these offending posters online, and request that you request Mr. Charles Ifeanyi Obi to remove those posters and apologize to me and my party immediately.

When I noticed this, libelous and criminal forgery, of a post yesterday, I rebutted it as comment in the post and requested Mr Obi to remove same in 30 minutes which he defied.

I also placed a rebuttal in Anambra Arise WhatsApp Group, so that he can get the benefit of home advice, given the preponderance of APGA membership in that forum. I believe you are also a member of that forum.

I did not get any visible intervention, and Mr Obi is headily standing by his CRIME.

The essence of this piece is to elicit one-last opportunity to resolve this mess in dialogue at our level and to ensure that your good offices that should ideally seek a good image for your party and political camp has not been taken for granted in this saga.

I trust this confidence will be well placed and apologise that this letter has to be open for very obvious reasons.

Please accept the assurance of APC’s highest regards always.

Arc. Okelo Madukaife

State Publicity Secretary
