Obiano campaigns with bread in Anambra State

Concerned persons from Anambra State have observed that those handling the campaign team of the incumbent governor, Chief Willie Obiano, are having hard times selling their paymaster to Ndi Anambra.

One such observer, who confided in Elombah.com, said that their difficulty stemmed from the dearth of achievement from the incumbent Governor Obiano.

In the memo, he noted that “the APGA campaigners have nothing, no projects in the villages to campaign with. This is making their work very difficult.”

He stated that “like APC and PDP campaigners, APGA supporters are also telling ndi Anambra, Obiano will do this and that if voted, instead of Obiano did this and that.”

Continuing, he wrote: “The biggest problem facing members of APGA [All Progressives Grand Alliance] who are ready and willing to campaign for Obiano in their various towns and villages is what to say about Obiano’s first four years in office and how to say it.

“Most of them are afraid to go to the villagers to campaign. Some of them believe there are NO projects in these villages to campaign with.

“What will an Obiano campaigner tell ndi Aguata, Ndi Nnewi South and Ndi Onitsha North?

“What will a “vote Obiano 4 second term campaigner” tell ndi Ihiala?

“Have you been to Ayamelum area of the state? They will lynch anyone that comes there to seek for their votes for Obiano.

“They are the most neglected. Ndi Orumba North have said they will speak with their PVC.

“Agu Awka told Ndi Umunachi that they don’t drive cars and should not think of govt constructing their roads.

“In Ogbunike, they built only toilet, called VIP toilet. And the youths are waiting.

“The people of Awka North are more aggrieved than Ndi Ayamelum and Orumba North put together.

If you move down to Ekwusigo local govt council, the little votes Obiano would have gathered have been affected by the massacre at the St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu.

“From Ozubulu down to Ihembosi to Oraifite, it is same story.

“To those who want to campaign with Awka flyovers. Can u tell a villager in Umunze, Awgbu, Amaokpala, Utuh, Ukpor, Uga, Umuchu, Nkerehi, Anam, Okija, etc. who hardly visit Awka to vote Obiano because he built a flyover at Awka? They will ask you if they are from Awka.

“Yes, he paid workers, but the voting strength of workers in Anambra is less than 5 percent. It is only in Ekiti state that the voting strength of civil servants is about 40 percent,” he concluded
