Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, the APGA gubernatorial candidate has called on millions of his supporters across Nigeria and Anambra to remain calm and peaceful over the omission of his name by INEC for the November 6, 2021 Anambra governorship election

Soludo also said the lives of millions of Ndi Anambra are too important to surrender to desperate politicians who are bent on taking the state several steps back

He made these calls in a release from his media office signed by Mr Joe Anatune after INEC replaced his name with another candidate who was allegedly disqualified in the APGA primaries

Explaining why Soludo’s name was omitted, INEC had said its action was based on a court judgment from Jigawa state directing it to accept the nomination of a former aspirant who was disqualified from participating at the APGA primaries

Soludo asserted that the position of the judgement will not stand, adding that he remains the only legally nominated candidate of APGA for the 2021 governorship election in Anambra State

He avered that this temporarily setback shall pass. He clarified that there is no faction in APGA saying the party remains one united huge family as Nigeria’s third largest political party under Ozonkpu (Dr) Victor Ike Oye as the national Chairman and Governor Willie Obiano as the national leader/BOT Chairman

He assured his millions of supporters that APGA as a law abiding organization will as usual appeal the Jigawa judgement, stressing that it has become the routine every four years during elections to go through countless court orders and counter orders which does not augur well for the nation’s democracy

“As we match forward, there will be several schemes to draw us back but we must never relent. Our train has left the station and won’t stop until victory is assured”, Soludo added

Concluded by waxing philosophical, saying “what is written is written”. And with a solemn poser, of “who can battle with the Lord”

The Anambra governorship election is scheduled to hold on November 6, 2021 while electioneering campaign is expected to commence in August!
