Press Statement by Anambra State PDP – Today, we in Anambra State PDP join the rest of the world to remember one of Nigeria finest political scientists and who died in active service to the nation.
In the press Statement issued by the party’s publicity secretary, Emeka Nzekwe in Awka on 25th September 2015, the party stated that it appreciates late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo’s role in the growth of Nigeria democracy .
“Chuba Okadigbo was one of the founding fathers of PDP and a key actor in the restoration of Democracy in Nigeria after 20 years of military interruption.
It is also of note that Chuba Okadigbo once flew the ANAMBRA North Senatorial PDP flag in the Senate where he represented Anambra North Senatorial Zone in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria “.
Late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo stood for justice and displayed uncommon doggedness while he presided over the affairs of the Senate its president hence the party will always remember his contributions to Anambra PDP and Nigeria democracy at large .
“Through PDP platform, Chuba Okadigbo became the Senate President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He made us proud as an ambassador of Anambra PDP throughout his days with the party hence his giant strides.
We therefore call for the lowering of our party flags in honour of this fallen hero and the Oyi of Oyi.
