Igwe Kris Onyekwuluje, the paramount ruler of Umunya in Oyi local government area of Anambra State has died
The monarch who reportedly died at the age of 61 is said to have suffered from cancer related disease.
While confirming his death, Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Honourable Tonycollins Nwabunwanne described his death as a huge loss.
He condoled with the people of Umunya over the death, praying for his soul to find eternal rest in the almighty.
Onyekwuluje was noted for his arrogance during the administration of late former governor of Anambra state, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju.
He was quoted to have boasted that he would rule the Umunya for 120 years, a remark that eventually angered some elders of the community.
Also, he was the contractor that erected the mast in the premises of Anambra Broadcasting Corporation (ABS) that killed some number of people.
