Valentine Ozigbo, a former ally of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last election, Mr. Peter Obi has lost out in the primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), as the ruling party on Saturday, declared Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu as the winner of the governorship primary election in Anambra State.
According to the primary election results shared on the APC X handle, Nicholas Ukachukwu, emerged winner of the exercise, defeating his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo with over 1,300 votes.
The lost by Ozigbo, is coming even after he recently defected to APC from LP.
According to the primary election results, Ozigbo, who was a former governorship candidate in Anambra State managed to secure only 67 votes.
“Results of Anambra State APC Governorship Primary Election, as declared by Governor Bassey Otu, Chairman of the Primary Election Committee
“Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu – 1,455 votes Mr. Valentine Ozigbo – 67 votes
Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo – 26 votes
Edozie Madu – 8 votes,” the APC post reads.
