He said: “As all of us may have heard, CAN has declared March 22, 2020 and March 29, 2020 for a Nationwide prayer against coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
“I want to assure that CAN in Anambra will join other Christians Nationwide to pray against coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
“Let me therefore use this opportunity to enjoin all Churches in Anambra State to spend quality time to pray and ask God to intervene on our behalf and block coronavirus pandemic from entering into Anambra State and stop it from existing and killing people in Nigeria and world over”

He added “CAN wishes to use this opportunity to assure the government and people of Anambra State of fervent prayers for security of lives and property in the State taking the cognizance of the insecurity in Nigeria orchestrated by herdsmen who are bent on taking over everywhere through violence with their cows.
“These terrorists called herdsmen are worse than coronavirus by the way they perpetrate all sorts of atrocities against Christians, killing people, allowing their cows to destroy farmlands, kidnapping and robbing people and even raping women and girls. It is a pity.
“Christians are worst victims of insecurity in Nigeria because they apparently the target. Look at how terrorists and bandits massacre Christians in virtually all parts of the North.
“And President Muhammadu Buhari is only condemning the acts through his media aids and given assurances to fish out and punish the actors but we are not seeing the result his assurances.”
