AGF Asks Supreme Court to Vacate Injunction Halting Old Naira Notes Deadline

Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami late Wednesday, filed an application to the Supreme Court asking the apex court to dismiss the suit restraining the federal government from implementing the deadline for the old Naira notes to seize to be a legal tender.
It could be recalled that the Supreme Court had earlier on Wednesday temporarily stopped the withdrawal of old Naira notes from February 10 as announced by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
